Vermin day and roost shoot

So after a long week at work 6 guns looked forward to getting out at the weekend. We went to an estate that we are familiar with for vermin drives in the morning followed by a roost shoot in the afternoon.

Weather was grey damp with a bit of drizzle all day. There wasn't an ounce of wind anywhere.

The bag mainly consisted of grey squirrels, and a few pigeons in the morning. A moderate bag of pigeon was had in the afternoon.

On the way to the roost shooting wood, we saw 300-400 pigeons on the maize adjacent to the wood. The second we got out of the truck, they all left the area! Typical.

A good day was had. As someone said, a bad day shooting is better than a good day at work!
